Moonta is a relatively small country town, but you will find plenty to see, from the beach to the mines; even the cemetery has some amazing history. During it's early mining days, Moonta was the largest settlement in South Australia outside of Adelaide!

great food

Although the local IGA is well stocked for home cooks, there is also some good old pub food at the Port Huges Tavern, great burgers & fish-n-chips at the Kracken Fish Shop, Capella's for the best pizza on the Peninsular by far, and even a hidden-away pancake store worth finding that will sort out that sweet tooth!
